Nicola Davies (ESG Consultant / Director)
More than 20 years experience including more than 10 years with global consultancy Mott MacDonald where Nicola held the role of Global Practice Leader for Environmental and Social Due Diligence. Extensive experience collaborating with lenders, lawyers, insurers, developers and technical engineers to balance the needs of all stakeholders. Her diverse experience includes acting as lead E&S lenders adviser on more than 1000MW of wind projects in Latin America, ESIA Project manager for geothermal exploration phase ESIA in Nicargua, and contributing lead environmental author for 2017 update of the USAID Sector Environmental Guideline Construction. She has worked on conventional power, renewable energy including on and offshore wind, solar PV, geothermal, LNG (including upstream gas fields and pipelines), toll roads and hydropower. She has extensive field experience undertaking construction and operational environmental, social and labour monitoring including on site auditing, developing corrective action plans, providing training and tool box talks. Her background includes a strong technical understanding in assessment and management of air emissions, air quality, noise, shadow flicker, biodiversity, waste, water quality. Extensive field experience working in emerging and developing economies including: Argentina, Colombia, Costa Rica, Cyprus, Dominica, Dubai, Ghana, Greece, Hungary, Honduras, Indonesia (Java), Kenya, Kosovo, Mexico, Mozambique, Pakistan, Russia, Slovakia, South Africa, Singapore, The Sudan, St. Lucia, Turkey, Ukraine, United States, United Kingdom, Uruguay, West Papua.
